ABOUT THE TRIP

Jim Elliot, the missionary who gave his life reaching a remote tribe in Ecuador, once said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” His words continue to challenge and inspire generations of believers to live with eternal purpose and courage.

Long known for its world-class point breaks and year-round warm water, El Salvador has long been a global surf destination. But today, because of a dramatic shift in the nation’s political and social climate, the country has become one of the safest and most welcoming environments in Latin America. A new sense of peace and opportunity has sparked a growing, passionate action-sports community—one that is eager not only to progress in their craft but to experience transformation through faith, community, and purpose.

We are stoked to introduce Episode 18; a story that captures this movement. It’s been said, “God does not just call the equipped; He equips the called.” This episode dives into what it truly means to say yes to that call. To step out in obedience, to trust God’s provision, and to see how He is using action sports as a powerful platform to reach the nations. From surf sessions on perfect right-hand points to conversations that lead to life change, this is a glimpse of what happens when ordinary people surrender to an extraordinary mission.

We’re praying for all that God is doing, and is yet to do through the movement being spearheaded across Latin America. What’s unfolding here is bigger than one trip or one team. We believe it’s the beginning of a wave of leaders being called, equipped, and sent out to use surfing, skating, and action sports as a means to share the Gospel and make disciples throughout Latin America and beyond.
